I say you burn his car to the ground.
Oh yeah, of course, remember my car last year? And it got repairedI've see A LOT worse though.
I'm guessing not totaled as well. When I see shit like this I always remember the Allstate "Mayhem" commercial where the guy is supposed to be an "OMG teenage girl" and bashed the poor Saturn in the mall parking lot.I'd say it pends where you take it. A used light, paint materials is $350, rest is labor so $800 to $1100. Not totaled would be my guess.
Dumb @ss people not paying attention. . . Sucks!
Dude, you should pay 0$ deductible since it wasn't your fault. What does the police report say?? I would ask if the body shop can get OEM used parts. And that trunk lid is repairable, mine is the factory one, they simply repaired it since there was no frame damage to it. And it lines up better than it did before the collision! I would have the shop check the torsion bar on the trunk as well as the screws securing it in place, those might have broken! (but it looks like a low speed impact, I doubt they did).It wasnt a hit and run. and my insurance company said they r going to try and get my $500 deductable back and they said if they do replace any parts on my car they must be new to ensure that there is no damage remaining..
In MI, it's 75% of the car's value. What are insurance regulations in your state? They dictate 50% of the car's value?I think it will depend on the insurance company and how much the car is worth compared to cost of repairs. If the repairs cost more than half the value most will total it. My friend's 95 Corolla had pretty minimal damage about like yours, but since the unibody side panel was bent they totaled it, as the car was only worth around 2 grand.
