H11 headlight 'upgrade' bulb opinions.

Now that I've got the new SE V6, one thing I "need" to do is get some "better H11 bulbs," like the PIAA's I had in the old XLE. I definitely forgot to yank the PIAA's out of the car before taking it in for the trade-in, but that's OK -- they were two years old, and gosh who knows how much longer they would have lasted. So, "easy come, easy go."

But, part of getting the new car is a new, foreign attitude on my part to start avoiding "just plopping down my credit card and buying a bunch of crap," and so I haven't gone nuts on new bulbs yet. So, maybe if I did some better research this time, I might find 'better' bulbs that don't even cost so much, so let me just see what you folks think is best.

There's no need for any "go for HID's" -- I'm just not going to go there. So, let's just stick with upgrade H11 bulbs. I actually thought about putting this into some other more 'general' forum, but since the Camry's H11 bulbs are so relatively rare, I figured it'd be best just to put it in here.

I'm not even too proud to just "leave the OEM bulbs in there" -- I think the lighting system in the car is fine, and the regular bulbs aren't bad in any margin. And, heck, I don't even drive that much at night -- certainly very rarely on rural highways where any extra-powerful light would really make a difference.

So, what do I want? Mainly, to get rid of the awful yellow color of ordinary halogens. So, yeah, I want one of those "whiter" bulbs. It's what I've done for years, starting with the Silverstars back to what has to have been a decade ago, by now. I finally moved to PIAA's a few years ago, since I got tired of Silverstars burning out after only six months.

So, what do you like? Where do you buy them? Why do you like them better than others?

I know we've talked about this a thousand times already, but it seems that there are more bulbs available now, yet H11 remains a difficult bulb to find, so I'd sure like to get everyone's thoughts into one thread, and discuss these bulbs essentially "against each other." So, let me know what you like!

someone here is selling Mtec lights. they're good.

piaa Xtreme 4700K is also good. its on amazon.
check out this site

Check out coolbulbs.com, they have the H11 bulbs in a couple of different colors.
I have some H11 MTEC 4300k's. They are hyper white and are performing better than I expected them to be but not a huge improvement over the stock bulbs.
Had my MTEC's 4,350K (High, low and fogs) for 18 months with no problem.

Not yellow, not blue - just right white. $33/set delivered.

Supposedly warrantied for life.

Hmmm.... I pretty much gave up on eBay a few years ago, and especially PayPal. Can you actually do a PayPal credit card purchase without signing up for an account these days? There's just no way on Earth I'll sign up for a PayPal account, no way....

I presume your seller is good, since you chime in all the time -- how have your experiences been?

Thanks!

njerald. driver side high beam higher than passenger?

btw, those are really nice white lights. looks better than some hid kits out there.
Wow, if we could see one side stock and one side MTEC that would be great, trojan can you hook that up since youll be in there?

Also, guys I found this site
http://www.powerbulbs.com/

UK site but they have lots of phillips bulbs which I would think is higher quality than most, anyways, have not looked too much there yet...

That's the way they were before and after the bulb change.

They say if the low is adjusted right, then the high is right for each side.
Isn't there an h11 to h8 conversion?

Osram Night Breakers are a new H11 from a trusted brand name that claims brighter/whiter light than OEM. I'll probably try them.
I bought a set back in January. They were $60 on eBay. The light is whiter and brighter. They are definitely better than stock.
