Battery terminals don't always get acid on them most of the time they will get a gray to black residue that wont let the alternator charge the battery. Go to the auto parts store and get a pack of the felt battery protectors, it has anti corrosive on it. Pull and clean your posts about every couple months, invest in a battery terminal cleaner also they are 250 at wally-world. If you are having trouble with too much corrosion like once a week then you might have a bad battery or an alternator that is over charging.

i think my battery was the whole problem because i put in a diffeernt one and now it works fine
