i dont kno what its called...i call it the manifold thing...its that thing in your engine that say do not touch, hot....ill get a pic


its just to the right of the oil filter...can you paint this?

Yeah, I painted mine with ceramic exhaust manifold paint rated to 2000 degrees. BTW. I think you're talking about the manifold heat shield right?

Hey, you're missing two cylinders! J/K... anyway... For everyone's info, clean any exhaust parts that are polished with alcohol before firing up the rig. This will remove any grease and oil and sweat, etc, that can cause uneven coloring. That way you don't wind up with purple-blue fingerprints on stuff!

That paint would be good.... until your engine warms up. Engines get super hot man. You need some engine paint. The same stuff they use for painting blocks and valve covers. The colors tend to be more dull, but it's really your only option. Unless you want to pay to have it powder coated:)
