have u had bad expierences with toyota dealships, tell me about it!!!

Yes, I paid over $400 for them to fix an electrical problem with my car, and they had my car for 2 weeks. They didn't fix my problem and they wouldn't refund me my money. Never take your car to a dealership!!

Not yet, nor do I ever plan on letting them touch my car. Thankfully, I've found a great mechanic that is competant and I trust completely.

My only gripe with most dealerships is uninformed reps, whether it be at the service desk or on the sales floor. I usually just go in, tell them what I want, pay and leave.

Paying over $600 for aftermarket installed alarm from "stealership"...

not totally their fault tho... cuz i wasn't there to stop my dad from choosing it.

i'm still bitter over that... even though it was last year.

My dad used to work for a toyota dealership (now works for Lexus) and he agree's that they can overprice you on simple jobs and not always come to the quickest solution to some easy problems.

Yea.... takes Ventura Toyota 2 months to ship a 2.5inch long hose. It was "lost" 2 or 3 times on its way from Japan. Bastards...

87$ to tighten a loose screw. They should have tighten mine too for taking it there. i think the mechanic who did my car was a drugge too. Very shadey...

the dealership i bought my car from worked on it for the original owner i have a shitload of reciepts for job they "did" they redid the valve seal but the car smoked they did one axle but it broke? redid the bearings but they were bad? i can't say i was raped but the person before me was but i'm never going to a dealer ever againnot even to buy a new car.

i consider myself a smart shopper, i only use the dealerships for my service. The dealerships by my place fancy on the fact that if your service is not performed in 30min' or less the next one is free. ON the whole, if you arrive at 7am on saturday morning, your pretty much in line...i always pay for one oil change (20 bucks) and then get the next one free. For 30K interval services (or like tranny flush, timing belt) i just look out for coupons. Only once did the dealership try to convince my wife that we needed a coolant flush and i told her to give the phone to the techi there and i told this this "you bonehead..i just flushed is yesterday, on the resivor its just distilled water cus its SUMMER, i plan on changing it in winter again" Yeah, they try and rip people off..but if your smart..you can actually get by ripping them off (like how i do in services..)

Yes, They try to! esp my wife, last visit, came up with 1400 in repairs, BS stuff, I busted them! I'll NEVER give them, or any other toyota dealer another chance to steal my money, I E-mailed the president of toyota in Japan I was so pissed, Haven't heard back from him yet!!! It's a shame that a company with such a wonderful product, has such dishonest service departments.:liar: :liar: :fuckyou:

its called a Big Green Book...a factory service manual set that assures me my car will never see a dealership or a shady mechanics' hands b/c the only hands touching the car will be mine or my husbands

OK...no rip off yet. Thye charged me for glass etching they said they'd throw in, but I found I had keyless entry and floor mats I didn't order there, and they didn't charge me for...$299 for etching vs $550 of accidental additions...I kept my mouth shut!

they used the wrong type of oil during on oil change, over prices brake fix, over prices cd player service (loose plug) almost chopped my car in half, (they tried to close the garage door as i was leaving. i was like holy shit!!!) so i have automatically 10% off every time i go there, but i don't cuz still overpriced. argh our local Yota dealer sucks more then Jenna Jameson.
