Hi, I was wondering if anyone has ever seen Chrome rear nameplates before on the Camry SE? Mine (Toyota, Camry, SE) are black on my 2003 SE. I saw these Chrome rear nameplates on a used car website, and was just curious.

The black name plates (emblem) are discontinued if I recall correctly, so if someone had to replace it they may had gotten the LE/XLE chrome emblem. The spoiler and the center light trim is color key so that is a match for the SE trim. The emblem and everything except for the logo should be stock black. The 'SE' letter is not stock, might been from another model. Again, if the black is no longer being carried, they probably don't have the SE emblem.

Maybe either someone de- badge it and they reinstalled the stuff or the car was in an rear end accident.

Thanks for your quick reply. I guess if I request the CarFax/CarProof report and the VIN number, I will know if the car was in a rear end accident.

Some things like this might not show up. If it was a minor parking lot ding, a new trunk lid may had been install. Best way is to check the actual trunk for the VIN sticker.

Still, that 'SE' emblem is bothering me lol...

If you want an chrome SE badge, and can't find a Toyo one, Ford has many SE models with them.
