So my DRL has created a melted spot (as noted on other search pages)

I checked the bulb and there is a bubble that formed inside the actual light bulb (looks like a defect).

Is below correct?
DRL = Low Beam = Size 9005 = Size HB3 ?

I'm going to pick up some high quality LED DRL's bulbs and hope I can get rid of some of the heat issues from the OEM DRL bulb.

You're going to go LED on your low beam lights?

the drl uses the high beam 9005 bulb
i got some and if you install them they might light up as it doesnt get full power when the drl is being used
i find and ordered a booster harness to make the leds light up when the drl is on

Just stop what your planning and put another halogen back in. LED in the highbeam is not a good idea.

Okay this confirms my suspicions.

DRL = Highbeam... So I will not go the LED idea.. I just wanted to avoid another "melt down" in the housing area. The old bulbs I had there was a melted bubble in the bulb itself!
