In my 05 Corolla CE, my headlights are always on. Even if I turn them off with the on/off switch they are always on, day and night. I heard that all new cars are like that but i was used to driving an older car and i liked being able to turn off my beams when i needed to. Are all your corollas like that? When i bought the car, my headlights would not turn on, only high beams, i then messed with the fuse box and replaced the bulbs and they worked fine but i dont know if thats how its supposed to be. If it is that way, is there a way to control the headlight with the on/off switch. Thanx in advance.

The low beams are always on at a reduced rate during the day, even when you have the switch set to off, that is called day time running lights (DRL), it is a safety feature. The DRLs should be the only lights that are on during the day, as in no other lights, like your side lights. There is a way to disable the DRLs, but it involves cutting and grounding a wire. See http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/showthread.php?t=187743 on how to do it.
