Hello all,

Well after years of dreading the ownership of a minivan, the day has come that the family is getting bigger and we ordered the SE in grey mica. (have to admit, i cant wait) It should be here on Oct 5th. Of course, I can't be seen in a stock vehicle so parts are already on order for it. First of which is some 235/55r19 Nokian Hakkapelleta's for the winter months up here. Other parts that have already come in are color matched DVD headrests and the summer Gianelle Santorini 20" wheels. Hoping some lowering springs come out soon.

Here is the 05 Saturn Vue Redline we are trading in

And here are is my daily (05 passat wagon TDi)

And lastly, my '84 GLi project

Keeping with Toyota love, I'm painting the car Venza Sunset Mica. Progress so far.....

I hope to gain a lot from you guys since I'm new to the van club.

Thanks

Well welcome to minivan world!!!

I was between jobs one year and my buddy owns a dealership. He invited my in to pass time and sell some cars. It seemed every second person came in and bought a MV. You get to drive them around alot, took one home one weekend, another for a golf trip with my friends. Before too long I figured, hell I could use one of these things.

I still have a few other toys, but the MV is the daily driver and I love it for almost everything.

Congrats on the new SE...sounds like it won't be your average looking MV for too long.

Like your choice of winter tires!!!

i'm on the same boat as you bro.. i never would've imagined owning a minivan. i wanted to buy an SUV with 3rd row seating but getting in the back was a challenge if i brought the parents or in-laws with us. after seeing the SE, i finally gave in a bought one. i must admit... i am diggin driving this swagger wagon. :D i plan to get aftermarket wheels also before next spring. lowering spring would also be nice if i can find some that will work with this van. let me know if you find some!

here is my daily..

yep, welcome to the minivan world.
Toyota did a good job with the SE. It was a natural for us folks who are already into modding our cars:cool:

I second that and I'll add that it was a natural choice for folks who enjoy driving and don't see it as a chore. The curvier the road the better for me..
