Hey everyone,
My wife and I own a 2013 Highlander Limited with approximately 60K miles on it. It is very well maintained and in excellent condition. Unfortunately we had our first issue.
We had our first snow a couple days a go followed by rain. Last night I noticed that there was a little bit of water on the rear WeatherTech mat when loading something into the back. I initially thought maybe that rain dripped down from the hatch but, the quantity seemed a bit much. After a few minutes of investigation I noticed that there was a damp spot on the headliner panel that attaches to the rear post (see pic). Water was also dripping from the bottom of the interior panel onto the WeatherTech mat (see additional pic). I looked for anything obvious like a pinched or damaged section of weather stripping but found nothing obvious. However, It was also late and I didn't have time to dig into it.
So, has anybody else experienced this leak? Any idea where to start? Tips for pulling apart that section of the interior without damaging anything?
Even if you haven't had this issue I would appreciate any advice on where to find an answer.
Regards,
Brian
