Hey guys .... In the past you have given some good info .... So I trust you in this .... :smokin:


I thought it was easy getting HID's.... But then I hear all these different numbers and how it can be Illegal and all ....:confused:


My question is what is the best bulb number to get ... 4300 , 6000 or 8000 ??? :confused: Is there a difference in color or brightness ???:confused:

Some people say use relay's some say dont ???

What's the difference ?? I'm trying to get the color of the way the new cars are comming out but not bright where I can get pulled over .... Maybe I'm just dum and dont understand this system .... But Please Please help me out :eek:

4300k is what comes stock in factory equipped cars i think 6000k would be the brightest but as you go higher from there things start to turn more and more blue with less light output

Anyone ever heard about putting relay's ???


So the 4300 are the way to go ??..... Thats chart was awesome .... :thumbup:

But keep the suggestions comming .... :thumbup:

I still have time before I buy ....:)

The wiring harness draws power from the battery directly to the ballast while the ones without the harness pulls power directly from the stock harness, thus putting more stress on the stock harness. That's my understanding of it. Get the 4300K temp bulbs, looks much better than the bluer ricer crap.

if you look on ebay there are all sorts of kits available id stay away from the made in chins kits though from what ive read there hasnt been very goo luck with them.

Wow .:disappoin.. Thats alot to need to know when you buy stuff like this .... :confused: Thank you all for your help ....:thumbup: Looks like every one is using the 6000 bulbs ,,, I havent seen a 4300 but if anyone has a pic show them ..... I'm not looking for yellow but not looking for blue blue .... I'm just looking for that white that has a light tint like a flourescent color bulb .... If you know what I mean .... thanks again guys you are the best on here :thumbup:

From what I've seen on other vehicles... 5,000k is the the highest I would be willing to go, but that's just my opinion.
