Hello I’m new to the forum. My mom bought a 1990 Toyota Tercel DLX 5 door lift back. New in 1989. I am on the hunt for it. As it was the last car she owned new before she passed away. I did a Vin search and it comes back as active. Last registered city was Edmonton Alberta Canada. If anyone could help me find it and bring it home. I’d really appreciate it. Thank you so much.

Any paperwork as to who bought it from your mom?
Do license plates in Canada stay with the car or the owner keeps them when the car changes hands?
Any friends in Law Enforcement?
Sorry about your mom :(

All I have is the Vin from our insurance company. And the registry Vin search I did which comes back as active status and was last registered in Edmonton Alberta. Plates stay with owner in Alberta I’ve reached out to Rcmp they can’t do anything. Was hoping the Toyota forum could help if someone new anyone that had it in Edmonton. Yes I am sorry too thank you. I would really like the car back as it was the last car she owned before she passed away.

Do you have any idea who bought it when?
Pics and social media are your best bet, Any car clubs that favor Toyotas near you?
You didn't say when you last saw it? Does an active VIN status mean it's registered and insured?

I am not sure who bought the car. I was 13 when dad sold it. And I don’t have any pics of it. Funny cause I have every other vehicle they bought new except that one lol. Yes an active status means it shows me when and where it was registered. I’m not sure I’ve reached out to a few Toyota dealers in Edmonton. To see if they can run the Vin. For service records. I will try social media is there a way you can share my search. On here. You have more followers and what not to get my search out across Toyota nation. Thanks for you help.
