The car is at my mechnics and he just showed me how the front shocks don't sit tight in the casing when screwing the mounting washer on top of the shock.

So....

Why don't you put some spacers in the bottom of the strut casing?

You can go ghetto and use some big washers that fit the strut casing diameter or use some aluminum rods or dowels that fit the strut casing diameter, cut to length.

Where can i get my casing shortened ?

And how would someone go about shortining the casings ?

Do you:

A) Just cut them from the top and secure them someother way other than a screw in washer ?

B) Cut a section below the inside thread up top and reweld it ?

C) Where would i buy inserts from ?

D) what are the dimentions and shape of the insers ( if i have to get them made)

You need the car by Monday? Just take the ID of the strut casing and go to brofasco and find the right diameter washers. Then you can go ahead and drive away.

Listen to Jover. Go ghetto!!

They would go on top over the strut before the screw in washer or on the bottom ?
