I was driving the other day and suddenly the message pre collision system unavailable popped up on dash now pcs and adaptive cruise control don’t work my emblem is clean and I removed the radar to check inside the emblem was clean still doesn’t work please help I can’t figure out what to do

Don't know what your working on but did it get accidentally turned off since some Toyota controls are on the steering wheel.

No it’s not off it says unavailable and the amber cars crashing light keeps blinking

I did remove both pos and Meg cables for about 60 seconds

Will a normal scanner do it or do you need one that does SRS?

Great question and I can't find an answer.
ABS/SRS are pretty specific to brakes and seat bealts. I'd think that the PCS would be related to B, body related codes or maybe C, chassis codes.
Of course it could be in the long list of th P codes which are engine/drivetrain related.
If you have one give it a try. If your keeping the car a scanner that reads mosy DIY'er codes are pretty inexpensive weather you want a bluetooth toggle and an App like Torque for live date or a stand alone scanner. All about budget and needs.
Do car part stores in Canada offer free courtesy scans?

The camera is still working tho cause my auto high beams work

Just shine a flashlight and you’ll see the dust.

Give er a good wash and see if that does anything .. it's free and I've had buildup on the front grille strip that caused pre Collison to go inop.

I've been having this same issue recently since it's been cold. Looks like condensation gets in between the windshield and front facing camera .
I took off the camera and cleaned it , put some rain x on the glass and it seems to have stopped for now.
