Help with Eng.

:confused: I just wanted to know if anyone out there knows how or has done so. I want to take me truck to the car wash and wash out the eng. I just need to know what I should cover just the alt. or anything else. So if anyone can let me know what I should do cause I dont want to pay the car wash people to do it when I can do it my self ...:confused:

just dont pressure wash it up close. You can hose it down no problems. Toyota does a good job sealing up stuff.
I've pressure washed my engine, everything is sealed, but i'm a few feet back anyways aiming into the engine.
i would also not wash the motor hot. iv always been told to let the motor be cold or before you crank up the day. hot parts and cold water to mix to well
Common sense is your best tool here. If you see anything that looks expensive and/or electrical due to all the wires sticking out of it, don't keep the pressure on it too long. No need to cover anything up, but that doesn't necessarily mean to pressure flood everything either...

My Mother doesn't have a pressure washer.
