My door lock actuator is acting up and at times the door doesn't lock.
I bought an aftermarket door lock actuator from amazon and replaced it but I am unable to lock/unlock the door with the key. I am able to lock/unlock with the remote. I tried removing the lock cylinder and and reinstalling it but that did not work either. I was concerned why the key lock wasn't working so I put the faulty one back on for now. Any advice on why the key locking/unlocking mechanism is not working?

Swap the motor out of your amazon knock-off and install it into your OE actuator

Don’t order on Amazon. I put one in and it crapped out after a year and it wouldn’t set the alarm when I locked the door with the key fob. I just bought a refurbished on on EBAY. It works like new. Lifetime warranty and you send in your old one. Here’s the link
