Hello Guys,

I have a 2012 Toyota Camry SE equipped with sunroof. For some reason my sunroof tile mode not able to close, but the sliding mode works file. I did take my car to Toyota dealership and checked they said my control assemble need to be replace and is going to cost me $350 to replace it TOO EXPENSIVE!!. So, i'm planning to DIY myself but not sure where to start. Need to know where are the hidden screws and what are the part numbers i all need.

Any help or suggestions would be very appreciated.

- Thanks

Did they give you an estimate sheet? It should have the part number on it for the cost of the part and labor time for install.

If you're planning on to repairing your car the DIY way to bring costs down, best to invest in a FSM (Factory Service Manual) for your car. It's a little expensive to get, but it will have the info you'll ever need to do the repair. Hidden screws locations, ect, and ect.

Everything sunroof related is expensive.

Step one, remove headliner - this is close to 2hrs time.

350$ is a deal if they in fact fix it.......

I went in for a quote to fix my sunroof [shim kit, which was out of warranty], they wanted to charge shop time, which was 6.5hrs to replace it... NOPE!
