Hey Guys,

My name is Steph...I'm new around here. I just recently (well today) purchased a 2004 Toyota Corolla LE fully loaded in Black Sand Pearl with Pebble Beige interior.

Mods will be coming soon...I should have my tints on it and the new system by the end of this coming week, and then a drop and rims will follow. I was curious to know what's the maximum size I can go with rims on the car? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Guys,
Steph

P.S. Any other toyota/corolla forums/websites I should check out? and where do you guys shop for your parts at?

Bah. Rims, tint, drop. Standard combo. I'd take all that money and invest it in a turbo. Now that would be sweet. But you still can get rims haha.

Personally, I would go higher than 16s, just because any higher will affect performance negatively (scraping, slow acceleration).

The NOPI store is a good place to get parts. I forgot their website just search for NOPI on google.

lol...I'm getting tints done first because it's so damn hot and sunny in Miami and I'm not paying for it, and the system, I'm not paying for it either.

As far as rims I was thinking 18's?

Yea, you gotta have rims and sound, and I guess tints too, since it is hot in Miami. And since you're not paying for it thats a major plus.

As I said I wouldn't go higher than 16s cause your car will not be as fast and you might get a slightly innacurate speedometer/odometer reading (if your wheel diameter isn't exactly the same). Also, there will probably be a noticeable fender gap with 18s, so you will have to lower it for it to look good, which you are planning to do anyway so whatever.

Anyway, I'd like to see how it turns out.

Ahh...I won't be going for speed anyways...I've heard from other people with Rolla's that the biggest you could go on a corolla is 19's, I'm thinking thats too big so I'll stick with 18's and a nice drop.

18's, in my opinion, are a little big for the corolla...it'll fit on yours, but you'll be feeling every pothole like a stick's trying to poke its way through your lower jaw. if you go with 17's, not only will you have more sidewall to work with, you'll have slightly cheaper tires as well.

welcome to the family, by the way :)
