Whats up, my name is Wes. I currenty drive a stock '94 Accord EX 5-SPD. My plans for this car were to keep it completely stock, except for a motor swap (H22a drop in) and a Tein Super Street Damper kit, and retain the stock ride height. A couple friends and I made a team, and our philosophy has been to create cars that look like every day beaters, but perform pretty well. The team died because we stopped caring, but we still have our 'sleeper' mentality. There are too many ricers in San Diego (where I live) so we try to blend in as much as we can.
I like my car a lot, but I have been checking out the Scion tC lately. Its been wierd. I've been a Honda person for the longest time and I like my car a lot. I'm still not 100% sure but by the looks of it I will be getting a tC in a year or so (Senior graduation, c/o 2005). My family is a Toyota family, my mom drives an Avalon and my dad has a Previa, and honestly, I don't really give a sh*t about those cars. I went onto google and typed 'Toyota Lexus Scion Forum' and up came this, so I looked around and joined.
I really feel out of place, just reading some of the threads I didn't know what was going on, I'm not familiar with Toyota engine/chassis codes so I feel lost. Sure, I know what a 4AGE and 2JZ are but yea, this is foreign territory. So for the next year, I hope to learn a lot from this forum, and a year from now, I will buy my tC.
Personally, I'm fed up with Honda. Not neccessarily the company per se, but it's reputation. Ricers have ruined us and given us a bad image. Its not so bad with Accord owners compared to Civic and Integra owners. I'm proud to come from www.accordtuner.com, people there aren't idiots.
As of now, I'm still contemplating whether or not to get the tC. I will have to wait until it comes out... maybe I can keep the tC and the Accord...
That would be really cool.
I have become accustomed to the practicality of the 4 doors of my accord, and how it is able to comfortably fit 5, it'll take time getting used to a 2 door hatchback.
