Hey everyone. Don't know if I didn't do a good search or there's nothing about the topic in question.

I'm getting the OEM foglights for a 2001 Rolla CE. I was wondering if there's any additional mods that I'd need to have in mind to set them up with HIDs and not just halogen bulbs. At least for headlights I know it's just plug and race, but I'd like to know if it's the same when it comes to foglights, since I have some universal fogs and I really had to modify the housing so I could fit the xenon H3s in there (Something that I don't want to do at all on some OEM stuff).

Any info will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

i'm sure you can get a HID set to fit. biggest thing is finding the right size bulb and splicing into the harness if there isn't a plug in option. i've seen some locally that do have HID's so it should work. and the fogs are glass housings so i would think it should have a bulb that will fit.

They are H3 bulbs so I don't think I'll have issues with that matter. And what I actually refer to as modying the housing is actually to modify the back part of the foglight, not the front part. I'm just afraid I'll have to do any mod as little as it could be. Hopefully not .
