99,860...so 100k miles, no surprizes at all. Tires (MichPrem OEM 17" wheels) lasting 50k miles+ (change them out regardless of tread left...), brake fluid change, trans fluid change, both done around 60k miles. Still getting 39-41mpg, steady cruise at 75mph.

I do miss the handling/ride/front seats of my 2014 VW Passat, but reading about all the issues that continue to plague the VAG "Clean Diesel" (a true 45-48mpg engine), I'm relieved to be driving a...a...rather boring, sedate, Toyota Avalon!!!

Dan Raff- 133k

So far, Dan Raff have the highest mileage car. Good to know that 133k without any major maintenance.

Dan Raff - So you changed both coolants at 100K and brake fluid around 60k?

Mine is a 2013 XLE with 157k as of last night. No problems just tires and oil changes. Averaging 37-40 mpg.
Glad to see a TAH with that much mileage! I bought 2014 XLE back in July '19 and it currently has about 97k on it. A bit worried that things can go wrong (currently making a full fledged maintenance plan in Evernote haha) but your post puts me at ease.

Like most Toyotas, these G4 hybrid Avalons will easily go to 200,000, and up to 300,000 miles if maintained well. The unknown at this point is how long the original HV battery will last. The 2013s are now between nine and ten years old. It will be interesting to see when we start getting reports of HV battery failures and what people do about it. Do they get rid of the car or replace the HV battery and motor on?

I only have 68k on my 2014 TAH XLE Touring. Only a few trim issues under warranty. Other than that changed the struts to 2016 struts for a softer ride. I'm on the 3rd set of tires, dumping the OEM Bridgestones very early, had Pirelli Centrinos that wore out (noisy and vibrated before 20k), now have Goodyear Comfortreads that ride great and have been really quiet in the mid 20k range and wearing very good. I looked at other Hybrids and just can't pull the trigger. The 2014 TAH has the large tank. I can get 600-700mi per tank. It has the Sunglasses holder (no big deal but de-contened on new models). I think I may just keep this incredibly reliable Hybrid until they make PEHVs that get 40-50miles and decent mpg. I do like the looks of the new 2023 Prius Prime. I only put about 10k miles a year on now and retiring in a few so may just keep the TAH. Excellent car. I have averaged 44.9mpg since new (fuelly).

You have me beat. 70k currently and can’t find a replacement. The large gas tank with 5-600 mile range, sunglasses holder, fog lights, all de-contented. The newer Avalons are nice, but can’t justify the cost of upgrading for less in some important areas. I started doing oil changes at 5k after 50k miles realizing the value of this car. I did switch my suspension to 2016 to soften the ride. I’ll change the coolant and drive fluid at 100k. Long live the Avalon!

If you want it avoid expensive repairs you should change all your fluids (coolant, CVT, brake) NOW at 70K, especially if they are the original fluids. This will help prevent damage from deteriorating fluids to those expensive system components.

I’ve changed all but brakes fluid(coolants,eCVT fluid, for oil use Royal Purple every 6 months). I have step by step how to do it without expensive scanner, but after reading few stories…
Scotty Kilmer says he never changed brake fluid on his because Toyota makes well sealed once 🤔.

At some point I wanted to get new Avalon, but same like you, couldn’t justify the expense. They’ve lowballed me and wanted to much for the used. The only problem I have is a ride bit harsh for my model. Was it expensive to change the suspension to 2016?
