Hello, new here and considering a 2022 Highlander Hybrid. Can someone please save me the trouble of reading all 600+ posts in this thread -- I just would like to know if this issue is present for the 2022 model year? Thank you.
My short version of what you are saying is that the user has to push the (false) full and empty limits until the system learns. That would be ridiculous behavior for Toyota to adopt. They could avoid all this agony by simply doing the "learning" themselves and starting the new vehicle fuel and empty parameters accordingly.
[Comparing 20ºF with 77ºF] The effect on hybrids is typically greater - with fuel economy dropping about 30% to 34% under these conditions. For hybrids, fuel economy typically decreases by 20% to 40% in city driving and 25% to 45% on short trips.
