id like to get a truck tent but i have a tool box. one question, why dont people like regular tents. ants maybe?

I gotta tell ya, that anyone who says they are thinking about building something out of 4X2's, they should NOT do it. Thats like saying ,"my truck has a shift stick, instead of "my truck has a stick shift". I love camping, we go about 12 times a year. You can get a nice tent that fits right on the bed of the truck and a few feet on the ground, they are great for tent camping, cause it gets you off the ground for sleeping. You can put an air matteress in the bed of the truck, use your converter if you have one, open the rear window, modify your tent to allow you to reach through to the back seat of the truck, lots of advantages. Have fun whatever you do!

Same here, with a shortbed I gotta have the bed extender on, but my 2man backpacking tent fits inside fine.

Any rain is shed off the sides into the bed, but with a bed mat you stay above the water, drains out the back or front drain holes.

Get this one. It's the Best.
