Cool, thats what I am aiming for too! Feel free to come join us at http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=23
or not, either way. :Bruce:

Anyhow looking forward to the build and personally, I think you should get new tires before anything else.

Especially for expedition style, get some 8 or 10 plys.

Nice truck.

Yeah, I joined the portal a while back, sweet rigs over there.

The 8 ply BFG A/T's are next on my list, I bout got stuck last week with these crappy rugged trails.:disappoin

Bilstein 5100's arrived today on time as scheduled via UPS. I ordered on the 4th, from Wheeler's Off-Road, great people, and for $207.00 shipped you will have a hard time beating that. Installation tomorrow. :D

$207 is a good deal. Is that just fronts? Let me know how it rides with just the front ends.
Yes, just the fronts for now. If it turns out that they are as good as everyone says they are, I will do the rears later in the spring. I'll let you know how they ride tomorrow.

Well Da Hui, it rides GREAT, took it down the highway, through town (plenty of pot holes to try out) and down some gravel roads, AWSOME! Hard to describe. Its not too different from the TRD Bilstein, but just different enough that you know you got something better. If that makes any sense. I had them set on the 3rd (1.75) setting, which left just enough rake so when I tow my boat the truck will still look right. Sorry no pics of installation, I had a local shop put them in. Paid $60 for the install, not too bad I think. Here's some pics :D.

Thanks for the compliment! I would have to agree. :smokin:
The wash and tint don't hurt either.

Local Rhino Lining/Off-Road Shop, I've known the owner for about a year. We buy all our accessories there for our landscape trucks at work so I'm sure that helped me quite a bit. I'm hoping I'll get the same treatment when I go to our tire/repair shop for some new treads . :naughty:

it's all about who ya know!
The weather was great today (70 degrees) so I took advantage and got some more done today. :D

Cut some holes out for my extra D-Rings. That mat is tough by the way.

Maglite Mount, $5.00 at ACE.

Differential Breather Extension, took a lot longer than I thought it would. I brought it up to the gas cap "pocket" (whatever you call it) and left it a little long so I could strap it up out of the way. I've seen to many guys leave it almost touching the gas cap, and I just didn't like that.

Had to throw in a pic of my helper. :D

Garmin nuvi 200W and Warn Receiver Shackle Bracket

Picked up a Garmin nuvi 200W last night, pretty nice unit so far, has some cool features as well.

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134&pID=9122

Not quite sure where I want to put it right now, so I'm trying out a couple different spots till I get a different mount and make a shortened power cord.

It has a slide show feature which I thought was cool. You can load up your own pics to the unit like a digital picture frame.

I also got my Warn Receiver Shackle Bracket in the mail today (a day early) from Sierra Expeditions.

Drove up to my parents for the weekend and snapped a pic with my Dads Tacoma. Its an 03' SR5 TRD Off-Road Auto V6, all stock :)disappoin) except for a Swiss cap and a tomtom GPS I got for him. Great truck, haven't had a single problem.

did the mag lite brackets mount well? the door doesnt get close to it does it? i really love this idea and might try it out myself if you say it works well.
Brackets mounted fine  I installed them with only a screwdriver and the provided screws. There is plenty of room for the mag and it works very well (much better than rolling around the floorboard) but don't just take my word for it, there are quite a few guys that have done the same. Do a little searching and you should find many good reviews.

Welcome to TN by the way! Glad to have the privilege of your first post. :D
