Here it is... hour 5 of removing my retarded stock blue "tear" graphics from my 94 pickup. Passanger side total time (minus final cleaning)= 45 minutes. Driver side total time (and I still have 3 feet of decal left on the bed)= 4 hours 15 minutes. Stupid body man clear coated the things on there instead of properly clearcoating, then applying graphics. So, lots of sanding, lots of razorblades, lots of oscenities, and plenty of time. Oh yeah, and if you are in this process and are wondering why the hairdryer isnt doing ANYTHING to help... stop where you are if you dont know how to color sand, buff, and re-coat your truck because you will screw it up. Remember, I am doing this to make it pretty.

Anywho... merry christmas.

For what it's worth.

3M makes a whitish disk about 4 inches across and a half inch thick for use mounted on an arbor used with a 3/8 inch variable speed electric drill. I got one then never got around to using it, so I don't know first hand, but the guy who sold it to me said it works like an eraser amd removes decals without damaging paint underneath. I have had good luck with about everything else 3M makes I've used, so it might be worth a go. Good luck.

I work in the field of automotive refinishing... and if it has been cleared over you are screwed... you are going to get your car repainted or your clear will peal and possibly any base... the ereaser wheel that mike stroup is talking about isnt going to work with the clear coat unless you really wear it off first... but good luck and posibly you can fade out the clear into the other by buffing
