Look at the underside of the hood for a sticker which will outline the timing specs. Get a Haynes manual will will further detail the procedure (two terminals in the diagnostic port need to be jumpered).
How do you check the timing?
I need to check the timing on my 89 camry 4cyl. I've searched the posts, but can't find a clear answer. Do I need to take off the timing cover (big job) or is there another way?
