i have 1990 extended cab long bed that teen son wants to install sound system. Wants to put sub-woofer box in place of the two fold down jump seats. I would like to keep the jump seats for reinstallation when he goes deaf. For the life of me I can't figure out how to remove the seats. Can get them partially unbolted but the hinges appear welded. Is there a tutorial out there any place or an interior expert in this forum who knows how to do it without wrecking them? Thanks. BTW this truck iis pretty fine, garaged and only 100k really like to keep it a while.

I've gotten mine off, but then again I had the whole back out, the panels and backing and trim. If you don't want your son to do it don't let him. I say that because you sound disapproving of what he's doing.

We got the seats without damage using the instructions provided by el_tarzano. Thanks that was just what I was looking for. I just wanted them removed so they could be put back in again when the sub-woofer goes in another car in the future. Not that I disapprove, but the truck still belongs to me and I really dont want it torn up permanently
