How much do you love your Tacoma?

What extremes have you gone to to care for your Tacoma?

I always park out in the boonies, of course.
I do my own preventative maintenance, because I don't trust anybody else.
No eating in the truck. Water only. No smoking of course.
And I've hand washed my truck on several occasions when it was below freezing outside. Like today. It was about 30 degrees. I pulled my truck in the garage ASAP to dry it off before it turned into a block of ice. My hands were numb, but I had the only clean truck in town today. :D It was nice to get a break from the rain today.

LOL!!!^^^^^ I taught I was the only one!!
My wife thinks I'm nutz!!!
wow i thought i took care of my tacoma.

I eat in it but i don't let anyone else do it.
I always park next to a pillar or somewhere where people can only park on one side of me.
I change my own oil (still can't figure out why people pay to have it done)
and rotate my own tires (actually this is to save money, When I get my next tire set from Costco i get free rotation and balancing)

unfortunitly i do the EVIL thing and use an Absorber to dry my truck.
I can safely say that PB and I are the most anal on TN.

I have NEVER parked in between 2 cars in 2 years so far of owning this truck.

ONLY ONE TIME AT THE MOVIES TO SEE BORAT, OTHER THAN THAT NEVER.

Always hand washed.

If someone has to touch the truck, only the best can put their hands on it. Toyota of Palo Alto, California Concepts and Auto Image Tint are the lucky few.

Not one single dent on this truck, tomorrow one is getting popped out.

I have spent over $300 on PDR so far, removing dents that were caused by friends and one by myself.

This truck only sees public when going to malls, school and safe places. Other than that, it is resting behind a iron gate at home.

Shell gas only and nothing less, ever!

I am VERY ATTACHED to this truck. I have put in TONS of effort and work into making the truck look great. I am very proud of it and will love it till death do us part.

EDIT: I tell people before they close the doors, to close the doors by the handle. If I can, I always try to close the doors for everyone. They think I am polite, but I really don't give a fuck. I want my truck to be PRIME.

I always keep a damp microfiber when I am driving just to wipe down the interior while I am driving and after I am done driving I wipe down what I touched.

I park my truck in the garage. I use a car cover when parked on the driveway. Hand wash and wax the truck when needed. I'm going to try something different called Captains Richards best car cleaner/wax. I'm not as worthy as PB and NorCal yet. :)
well i go to work an hour early just to get a good spot :D
hey guys! been out for a while... after 2 years and 2 months, i still park like it's brand new...although i need one of those steamers to clean the back seat....coke stains and whatever....

i still wash it often...haven't done any claying recently though.

Borat rules! ..and no way he can hold my crum!:fuckyou::lol:

How much lift you planning??? You're gonna need at least 6".
Sorry scratch that I just noticed you're from Hawaii!!LOL!!!
On 12 wide rims pls. don't wrap those beautiful rims in "freaky small tires" So that they look stretched out?
I hope you love your truck that much??:loove: :naughty:
I just got my truck last wednesday I am taking every move to make sure it stays new.

I drove right from the dealership to Van and Truck world and baught highend floor mats for the winter (which I leave in year round) for the front and back.

I just installed sill protectors custom made for the truck.

Hand wash in Ontario Canada last weekend.

Drive to work an hour early as well to get the first spot between a curb and a super wide handicap space.

I baught black though, it seems I can't get away from black trucks, so any thoughts on the best wax? I keep hearing mothers is the best, I am sure this has been discussed before.

She may get a wash and interior clean once a month, and full Mother's hand wax 3 times a year. I park only next to 'enthusists' at work, ie BMW's, EVO's, other truck lovers. No 'people' dents or scratches. She gets full syn fluids throughout.

But she gets used as a truck. In over two years have 4 small dents around the bed, tailgate, and back of cab from loads/large cargo shifting. Also several body length scratches down both sides from trees scraping off-road.

Right now the bed is coated with frozen mud and tree parts from firewood cutting last weekend and the body is caked white from all the salt. When it finally gets back above freezing maybe she'll get a wash... Is that love?
I'm such a bad owner.

I do my own oil changes with Mobil one every 5k miles and change the air fliter every 10.

After that, my care falls off.

I wash my truck 3-4 times a year. Wax once. My dog rides in the back part of my access cab, so vaccuming is a regular thing. I like a clean interior, but feel free to eat and drink in my car. Just no smoking. I park whereever I see a spot, though I won't squeeze into a spot. I've scratched my truck in a few places and shrugged it off.

To be quite honest, I was most anal about the vehicles I didn't pay for. Back in HS and into college. My parents had bought me two cars. both used with a ton of miles. I used to spend all day sunday cleaning them. Now, I just don't have the time, and since it's my own money paying for it, I just don't have that same appreciation.

Parking in the boonies for sure i've had the truck for a lil over 2 yrs and NO dents, hand wash and wax of course, started washing clothes with a lil vinegar(no it doesnt smell) to cut down on lint floating around in the truck, NO open drinks, NO smoking, and food containers rest only in the floor on the all weather mats, maintenance is done at home no one will take the care that you do of your ride, i've sat and cleaned the lug nut holes out with a Q tip, and to top it off i've made my dad ride in the back down the road from the MX track one day to get a tractor (sorry pops but you're dirty and sweaty). Told the fiance the same thing after mowing one day if we're going in my truck you better go change clothes and wash up buddy!

I love mine to death and maintain it well. However, the only water it see's in the winter is what ever water I happen to drive thru. Well, if I've had it out I will power wash it before I bring it home. (On Thanksgiving, I had been wheeling that week and hadn't had a chance to clean it. Anyway, my wife's mother asked me to never park my "filthy" truck in front of their house again:lol: )

I've got broken tail lights, a bent-up (not the brand) rear bumper, bent tailgate, dents in the bed from trees, dent in the door from a hi-lift, too many scratches/gouges at this point to try and buff them all out, but yeah, I love my truck.:)

I'm with you dude. I love my truck, and my truck loves me. I use it for what it was made for and then some, she's not a driveway princess. I have a dent in the fender from a tree limb popping up, scratched tail gate from a forklift at work, cab dents from a kayak, scratches all down the passenger side from a tree, a dented rear bumper, bashed skid plate, broken tail light lens, and scars around the rear window from when some puke tried to break in. And it smells like wet dog 'cause there is usually one in there, as there should be.
Mine gets washed about once a week... Clayed/Waxed once a month. I change my own oil with Royal Purple Synthetic.

The interior is different- I eat/drink in it, but very carefully. The back seat is now white and black due to the fact that both of my dogs ride in there all the time...

It does have a beauty mark on it where my dad backed into it with his G35 when I was visiting... I was planning on getting it fixed but worried they won't be able to match the silver paint... so touch up paint, polish and buffer made it look very non-noticible...

She does ge tused hard though as I take her mudding/trail riding at least once a month, usually more... I park her closest to the door, but since I have side steps now i am not worried about carts...
She gets washed and waxed regularly. Kept in the garage and parked as far away from others as possible. No food or drinks other than water (and my coffee). No smoking.... tobacco. Premium fuel only. During the little ice storm we have had in the last few days she has stayed snuggled nicely in the garage while the old beater blazer gets ragged on. How about the thousands of dollars I have put into her and the countless hours we have spent together in the garage moding, that surely counts as love. I think I had better go give her a little love now, she is ready to stretch those legs.
I park away from everything and everyone.

I get pissed when someone parks in my spot or next to my spot at my apartment. Keep in mind it's about as far as you can get from any door.

I try and hand wash it every two weeks. Make sure I clean underneath real good each time as well. Wax every time. Never seen an automatic car wash. Clay and Klasse every six months.

Change my own oil. My truck has had more check-ups (oil analysis') in the last 2 years than I've had in last 10. :)

I  my truck.
