I need to replace one of the front turn signal bulbs and so far it's not
clear how you get to them.

There should be a screw in the front turn signal lamp, or two. Loosen the
screws and remove the lens.

If not, there is either an easy-access twist socket or plastic retainers
inside the body panel.
