Get a proper intake which you can use the AFM. Without AFM car won't run at all. Yesterday 05:56 AM
Thanks Butt head like i didnt know .... why do you think im asking how can I go around that... i here aftermarket ecu?

If you know so much why are you asking? ;)
You did ask "Do I need the AFM?" So you knew and still have to ask?

A cold air intake on a turbo is essentially useless. This is what an intercooler is for. The slightly lower temps you will gain are going to be superheated in the very hot turbo, and then hit the intercooler. It's pointless.

Its not pointless. It reduce the work the intercooler need to do. Start with higher temp air and you get higher temp air after the turbo. Start with lower air temp and you'll get lower temp after turbo. Unless your intercooler is big enough to cool everything down to outside temp. Even if it does why reduce its capacity by feeding it hot air in the beginning?

While this is true, the actual gains that will be recorded aren't worth the time, money and danger to the turbo that the risk of a CAI presents. Dangers such as water, and possible debris.

For some reason we started talking about 3SGTE's. If you have an N/A, go crazy.
