A factory-installed alarm will have a fuse in the fuse box; pull the fuse to cut the circuit and shut down the alarm. Look for the fuse box on the left hand side of the steering column. Fuse boxes usually have a fuse diagram on the lid of the fuse box. Most alarm fuses have an alarm label on them.

How do I disable the factory alarm

cause if its part of the body control module, pulling a fuse may work however it may disable other features needed to safely operate the car and if hes referring to the immobilizer, idk if the le has one i know for a fact the xle does. than the answer is no ya can not disable it. ya either need a new key, or certifications module or ecu

The guy asks: How do I disable the factory alarm? And I told him. You come and: I don't think that will work on this car as the alarm is part of the bcm . That doesn't make sense. He wants to disable it. That's all he asks for.

theft deterrent is your alarm. pull those 2 fuses will in theory disable it. but like i said your disabling a lot of other stuff too that will make the car unsafe and illegal to drive. next time look up info before you post

And the car won’t run. Otherwise thieves could just pull a couple fuses and drive off with you car.

this is true. were not gonna tell you how to go steal a car. but to program out the alarm as far as the key fob, ya have to ask the Toyota dealership and they will probably just laugh at you and ask you to leave. if its the immobilizer, than there's nothing you can do and nothing Toyota will do besides fix the system
