I'd like to increase my MPGs and was thinking of removing the crossbars on my roof rack. I did not want them anyway but, it came standard on my Sport. Plus, there is an annoying hum at 45 mile per hour and above when driving with the windows open...

I'd like to increase my MPGs and was thinking of removing the crossbars on my roof rack. I did not want them anyway but, it came standard on my Sport. Plus, there is an annoying hum at 45 mile per hour and above when driving with the windows open...

I don't know how to remove them, however, on the rails there's a sticker that points where to position the crossbars for minimal wind noise.

I doubt removing them would yield any measurable miles per gallon gain.
