I followed the manual and I removed 2 screws on the tail light assembly. I tried to slide it out but it didn't help. I don't want break anything if I try harder. Any tricks for removing the assembly?

yes. thanks. I tried that but it was hard to replace. I didn't want to break any clips or tabs if there are anything.
Just slide it straight back to remove. There are clips/tabs in the front and the two screws in the back. When replacing make sure the clips go in first, then put the screws back in.

As SDupp suggested above, plus I found that by wearing a pair of rubber glove (such as those dish washing gloves) will help with getting a good grip/friction on to the tail light housing, give it a good tug/jerk straight back should unhook the house from the plastic clip (only one at the top on each side of the housing - the first time is usually the toughest to pull it off). I have to say they don't give too much slag on those wires so only a quick jerk straight towards the rear of the vehicle should give you that Wow satisfaction... ;) Good luck!
