How to replace the blown left brake light on my 99 camry ?

3689 5
My rear /tail lights warning sign is ON on the dashboard.
I found a bad brake light to be on lower left body of trunk . I could get my
hands to the holder which holds the brake/stop bulb but I am not able
to pull out the holder from the compartment to get to the bulb. I
tried rotating it clockwise,counter-clockwise(as mentioned in Toyota Camry automotive repair manual Maddox, Robert (Robert Phillip) HAYNES) and by just pulling it
out..Nothing works...Please let me know how to remove this holder to
expose the bulb.

PLEASE CHECK NEW PHOTOS OF CLOSEUPS OF WHAT I AM REFERING TO.

sounds like your doing it right when it gets to a point where it feels like it sticking give it a little more effort and it mght move or while turning pull up on the socket the whole time.
