Wow, those guys sure fiddlefucked around a bunch.
There's only 4 nuts, 2 bolts, a few plug wire clamps and a few hoses....
They made it look hard to do.

and yes we did fiddlefuck a lot because we were trying to figure out why it keeps leaking

plus....we were drinking ha

and it was actually 5 bolts, not 2 ;)
probuilder is back

yayy
that's pretty cool, jake. :) hey, now that i know you have a 22re, i have a few questions for you.

1) is the ISC on the bottom of the throttlebody, and is it thermostatically controlled? (water temp)

2) how is the fuel pressure up vacuum line connected? which VSV (p/n, and clip p/n), and where's it end up on the manifold?

if you can answer those, or even provide pics, i'd be delighted to say that you're my new best friend. haha.

after the BHG/timing chain job, i neglected to put any of those vacuum lines/vsv's, PAIR and the EGR back on. the truck runs fine, but i'd like to get the fuel pressure up system working properly, though. :)

i don't do terms. i just fix shit when it breaks
I have R&Red the valve cover AND checked the valve clearances in just over 6 min.

I'm thinking I could do just the valve cover in about 2

I'll video the next valve clearance check
I could do mine in 2 min if I tried...having a basic truck with manual steering pays off when you have to work on shit!
i hear everyone saying 2 mins but i see noone doing it....the gasket set is cheap why not put your money where your mouth is

is sure as hell know i couldnt do it in 2 mins. i work ssllloooowwwww plus i always have a drink within arms reach cuz it takes my mind off of how mad i get when i have to fix stuff

alcoholic? perhaps
but things get taken care of!

Nah...I already just replaced it like 2 days ago...why would I replace it again?
videos for teaching purposes are always cool. why rag the guy/guys for doing it ? maintenance is maintenance, it's not glamorous or sexy, but it's fun (sometimes).

so it took him 20 minutes (shrug) doesn't really matter. goofin around while ya gets it done is cool. two pairs of eyes means your buddy might catch something you've missed.

speed is not an issue. if you count total time for most folks to shade tree (getting tools out, do the deed, clean up, tools up) folks take, it's a little more but who cares ?

congrats on a video that is watchable, no morons blathering about nothing, and no gratuitous plugs for some crappy website you own ;)
