Well today while out looking at new cars, i stoped by toyota to check out there cars, then saw there scion section

I see 2 brand new tcs, a black and silver one, i go inside ask about it and the guy throws me the keys

im thinking yes i have the keys to the car i have been looking foward to being in form so i open the door, no alarm alittle weird

then i sit in, no room, so i think maybe the seats up close, well it wasnt thats as far back as it goes, so i adjust as much as it will go move the steering wheel but nothing

Thats car is so damn small, im about 6'3" and i was cramped, my head was like 2 inches from the ceiling

Very dissapointed, but the car looked fantastic, and also got to start it sounded so nice and quite

Also checked the xb and xa, there to plain for me

Anybody else dissapointed with the tc?

so you don't like the car....

based simply on the fact that it's too small for you?
yea, i was planning on getting it, so now thats totally out of the picture
I can't fit in a Miata, but I don't hate Mazda for that :)
Bah. Stop complaining. Us Canucks are stuck w/ the Echo. :D

*no offense Echo owners. :)
i think the tc was the best scion design yet. i was diapointed with the xb. im sure there are better cars to come.
i havnt sat in a tc, but the outside looks
tc's are cute, but I agree-much too small for me. (5'9'' and all leg) That's why my Cam fits me perfect. xA and xB are also too small, and too boxy...I like the streamlined, curvy look. ;)

I'm 5'8" and I thought it was pretty roomy. I'm only an inch shorter. My biggest problem with the car was the seats. I was not comfortable in them at all.

Sounds like a resonable thing to not like a car about.
i'm 6' and i fit fine in the tc i sat in, as far as i can remember. i didn't like the seats in the xa and xb too much. seemed like they were a little too high up or something. the only thing i'm really disappointed about with scion is the engines in the xa and xb. who is gonna buy a car with 108 hp?:disappoin
6 vs 6 3 is alil diff, plus u might not have long legs

From the waist up, I fit fine. I got these long poles they call legs...the were bumping the dash! Then if I moved the seat back-my torso was too far away. (*sigh*) Toyota needs to realize that us tall people need leg room. The new Camry-I fit in JUST FINE! :loove:
well not to offend anyone with stereotypes.. but the asian community usually has shorter people than most caucasians... maybe that's why it's so un-roomy for you tall'uns... i myself am 5'9" and can't imagine how i would ever be cramped in that car...
lol...i know...but my knees hit the dash...I had no room to strech out my legs- I 'dunno' just too small for me. :dunno:
Also one thing to add, to me it seemed for some reason the 5spd tC feels like there is more leg room, or that the seat goes back more.

Honda Civic: 115 hp
Hyundai Accent: 105 hp
Ford Focus: 110 hp
Kia Rio: 104 hp
VW Golf/Jetta/New Beetle 2.0L: 115 hp
VW Golf/Jetta/New Beetle TDI: 90 hp

All base models (pretty much) and people buy them. You have to remember how insanely light Echos are and how quick that makes them. I know for a fact I can't beat the hatchbacks off the line in my Camry:(

The problem with that is, the tC was built for the US market. So you can't really say that. No other country has the tC. And truthfully, toyota is giving the US market too much attention. I'm not a fan of these new cars they keep building that are 4dr and really really tall and not wide enough. They look like they will tip over around every corner. Like the new corolla and matrix.

Amen to that.... my Gen3 Cam fits me PERFECT and i'm 6'1". Get into a new corolla or XRS, and if my seat is set to fit my legs, my arms are too far away from the wheel and shifter. The other way around, my legs are bumping the dash. Grrr...
