I swear its a exhaust manifold leak... but can it be this...

So i just purchased my 2007 4x4 4 Door Short bed Tacoma brand new from the dealer. I just hit 500 miles... she is a virgin, and not available...

Anyways, i pretty good with diagnosing trucks and i swear i can hear a exhaust leak for the life of me... i had several fords with this problem. Its bumming me out that i can hear this noise, but its a clicking noise to describe it at best. And its always more apparent when its cold, like exhaust leaks.

My question is do these trucks have this problem, or am i hearing this -Engine Tapping noise.

While im at it, do you guys get drive line vibration when you first accelerate or almost done stopping... I do

Welcome to Tacoma ownership!:lol::lol:

Don't worry we all have it!
The engine tapping is caused by the injector timing valve or the fact that our exhaust is thin steel rather than Thick cast steel.

The take off shudder is well documented! Most people develop this shudder after installing a lift.

But if your truck is stock? Then have the dealer replace the drive shaft. That is what is causing your take off shudder.

When it gets some miles on it like mine has 55k the tick is very faint just needs to break in. Anyone else notice this too, mine accualy started to fade about 25k
