I yanked the sway bar off.......

I have ICON coilovers with about 1.75 inches of lift as well so I figured it would be safe since they are heavier sprung and dampened than stock......I was right.
It does have more body lean that is for sure, but not too bad. You shouldn't be driving your truck like a sports car anyways. With the beefier springs and dampers it keeps it under control. It rides much nicer and smoother than it did with the sway bar on, man that thing is beefy as shit. I can't believe they put a sway bar that beefy on a truck. Why is it they always put dinky sway bars on cars and on trucks heavy ones? Damn designers have it backwards.
I am also getting my TSB springs in a couple days so I imagine it will be even better controlled with those.

That is very informative, but the imbedded links didn't work. :(

I know :p But its the thought that counts. Jeeps do it all the time, it can't be that hard to find a lathe and make your own.
has anybody taken the sway bar off with stock suspension or 5100's? just wondering how it rides.
i do quite a bit off roading and it would be nice to free up the front suspension.

sorry to hijack, just don't want to start a new thread.
I run without the swaybar as well. A bit more body lean in curves and in certain maneuvers but well worth it off road. Even on road the ride improved significantly after removing the swaybar. I had disco's in my Cherokee, worked great, but on these 05+ Taco's Toyota decided to put the links right above the CV boots and I think that's why not too many companies and/or individuals have come up with a decent disco solution. I do take the sharp corners slower but other than that I still drive like a Bat out of Hell :D.
I thought of doing a quick disconnect sway bar link on my truck however those links shown on that webpage will not fit our trucks, If he makes some for the newer trucks that would be great.

I took mine off, it rides good and ain't too bad in the corners either. Well worth it for the extra flex that i gained and i don't have the OME suspension anymore
sweet i'm pretty sure im going to yank mine off when i get my 5100's, thanks guys
took mine off and wayy better. corners dont bother me at high speeds.
It would be cool if someone made a smaller sway bar for these trucks. One that is half as stiff as stock would be good.
Is the sway bar from the TRD offroad softer than the TRD Sport bar? If so anyone want to trade an offroad for a sport?
I took my sway bar off when i had the spindles and UCA's installed, even now with my Fox setup the body roll isnt bad. it took me a few days to get used to but its not a big change at all
