Hi,

My truck just started doing something strange.

When I start it up first thing in the morning the idle will shoot to about 2000 then come immediately down and then go back up and then down.. it will cycle back and forth for about a minute.

When it warms after a minute it runs fine...

Anyone have any ideas?

2007 Tacoma, V6, auto, 4X4, no mods

60K miles.. air filter is fine, plugs just changed (NGK)

Is it a really rapid change or does it change every couple of seconds or so? It sounds pretty normal to me because mine does that and once it warms up it's fine. Usually the engine just loosening up until the computer gets its head screwed on

It is a quick change... goes to around 2000 and down to 1000 then back up..then back up...etc..

This happens for around 30-60 seconds on startup in the morning.

This is just the truck's warmup cycle, all of our trucks do this. Nothing to worry about. :thumbsup:

is the AC on? it's possible for them to hunt like that when the AC system is low on charge.
