The idle drops under 800 sometimes and the car starts to sputter.
also the lights start to dim any ideas?

Firstly, what's the v6 supposed to idle at?

the lights dim because the alternator is spinning too slowly to maintain 14v to charge the battery and run the systems.

5spd id say around 800-900rpm

the idle for the v6 is supposed to be 800-900 RPM.

Inspect your intake for any cracks, after time the plastic degrades and cracks, letting un metered air into the engine, effectively leaning out the mixture.

It could be many things, what have you checked so far?
