The great thing is that if it comes in and it's not exactly what you ordered or wanted you don't have to take it. You can have them get what you wanted. I think everything will be fine. seems like people do this sort of thing all the time.

Last Wed. I decided to order exactly what I wanted, an Access Cab, TRD Sport, in Indigo Ink. I figured it would be middle of Feb before I would get it, but they told me Saturday when I called for an update that it would be here before the end of the month (which is now only 1 more day, still haven't heard anything though.. keeping the fingers crossed).
But for some reason, I have a bad feeling that it's going to get damaged in transit, or I'm going to show up to pick it up and it's going to be red instead of blue. Anyone else that ordered one have these kind of feelings? I guess my long history of awesome luck (note: sarcasm) is to blame for this.
I've already ordered a the WeatherTech's and I'm about to order the Lorado at Truck Alterations since they have the great price.

I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. And if there is something wrong with it (i.e color, or damaged) you can always find another one.
On a side note, I was not aware they made the access cab in a sport package. I've only seen the off-road.

There are plenty of Access cab sports, I drive an access cab sport (love it). The X-Runners aren't technically sports, but they are access cabs. Check out the show your truck thread. You will see quite a few.

i studied this in school. toyota uses something called lean sigma manufacturing. basically, they don't over saturate the market with tons of colors or options that people aren't buying. they take what options and colors are selling the best and that is their normal run. that way if a special order does come in, it doesn't take 6 months to deliver.

I actually test drove the Speedway Blue TRD Sport, and they even offered it to me for $3,000 under sticker. I've seen several on the lots here. I had my heart set on the Indigo though, which I was willing to pay that extra $400 for (which was still just about $100 over invoice, which was what I was hoping to get one for).They do, but you basically have to order it from the factory. I had the same exact feelings as you. I ordered my truck October 30th of last year, and it arrived December 26th. The whole time I was nervous that it would be different than what I'd ordered, or that it would be damaged during transit. But the moment I saw my truck for the first time all shiny and newly washed and detailed in the dealer's prep garage, I was speechless. It's definitely worth the wait.

I've been told that it will take 3 weeks after the truck is built. It will be built on the 25th of February, so late March would be the soonest I could take delivery.Well that sucks. Hope you don't have to wait much longer.
damn, local stealership quoted me 1K more then the dealership I brought it from at the time for my truck after my 2001 taco trade it. And they said if I ordered it (march 1 2007) that it wouldn't be here till most likely july/august. I was like wtf, they also said my trade would devalue by then, and that Toyota might no offer the 500$ cash back stuff at the time.. I told them to shove it..
Although I thought about trading in my truck and getting a different one. Maybe a black one, factory roof rack, ?JBL system?, VSC+ Atrac, trd Offroad, Hood scoop, cheap non TRD rims if I can, Leather seats, TRD supercharger, only if they gave me a good deal on it all..
