I have a 91 4x4 v6 toyota no A/C I am trying to tint the windows I have done it before and always had great results. problem is I tried to take the door panel off and got it all except the stupid window crank handle. so stupid me decided to try tinting around the trim even though i knew it probably wouldnt work. well 2 tries later i proved myself right. can someone tell me how to take the window crank handle off? thanks for you pitty.

if u look deep inside the window crank itself...there is a little clip holding on the crank..

yeah i use two flatheads...and yes that clip goes flying lol

i always take a smaller flat head screw driver...turn the crank until the small C-clip's opening is facing you, insert the flat head and turn it slightly so it's against the clip, turn the crank arm a little and wa-la, the clip is off


JUST BE EXTRA CAREFUL TO TURN IT SLOOOOOWLY OTHERWISE THE CLIP WILL BE GONE FOREVER!!!

Haha I looked for one clip for like 15 minutes once!

It is easy to visualize the whole assembly by applying pressure to the surrounding door panel and peering into the opening with a flashlight. The clip is shaped more or less like a U and you need to pry it over the window crank rod using the methods described in earlier posts.
