Ever since I've owned my 94 1.6l (3 Spd Auto), the low fuel indicator comes on at about 180 miles. Last week it came on at 156 miles. I eventually put 358 miles on with that same tank. Is this just a faulty fuel sensor or typical of the 94 Corolla? I ask bc my girlfriend had a 93 and she said hers did the same thing.

Yea i got that on my 95. its at like 190 miles and its almost empty. The lights not on yet, but it will soon. But i think its pretty accurate, being that it is winter. And i never warm up my car since i only need to drive for like 1 minute in the morning.

My needle was below the notch right above the "E" and i just filled up. It only needed 9 gallons. So, i had like 4 left in there. That does not seem right to me. Normally the light comes on with 3 gallons left.

Does anyone know if the 1995 Prizm 1.6L without the tach has a low fuel indicator? I have only had the car 4 years and am the 4th owner. I have never had one come on and have gone way below the "E" before? I have tried to look at the dummy lights to see if it is there and just burned out but don't see one. Is it possible that I just see it or was there never one for this model?
