are the injectors for the 1jz, 2jz and 7mge and 7mgte all interchangeable- as in direct plug in with harness and everything?

cuz I'm looking for some bigger injectors for my s/c camry- somewhera around 310cc.

thanks guys!

In a word, no. If you need new Camry injectors then you will need to match up the impedance, and make sure they will fit the rail. You will also probably need a piggy back controller to correct the mix. Why not hit up the Camry forum for options?

lol...no, I don't need new camry injectors. the camry injectors won't cut it since I went FI

and impedence isn't the greatest problem at this time. I just need ones that will fit the rail as well as the harness.

camry/solara people have been using supra injectors, but I'm not sure which ones. I've posted up on SolaraGuy, but SG moves really slow, so they're not any help yet.

and the camry forum isn't very good when it comes to real performance oriented things

thanks for letting me know that they don't switch up though. I asked the question because I saw posts in supraforums that had people saying that 2jz rails/injectors would drop into a 7mg setup....I guess not.

If you could fab up a way to fit the rail you could mount jz injectors in the 7m, but as always, since the rail already works for any power anyone has ever made on the 7m, and the injectors are roughly the same price either way, I've never understood why people want to go to all the effort to fab up mounts etc.

You might try quizzing the folks at RC injectors (can't remember the website), or give raptorracing here an email/pm about availablility of drop in injectors, as well as specs that will work. If you decide on new ones, RC makes a well known, good quality injector, although they are a little more expensive the other brands. Stay away from Venom like it has plague!!! If you find 7M injectors work for you, and you need a working used set, let me know as I have a couple of sets of stock 440cc laying around.

^ are the stock injectors denso injectors? because apparently any denso injector will mount up on my rails

and thanks for the offer, but 440cc is too much for my needs- it'd probably flood my engine...lol

The JZ Injectors and M series Injectors are not interchangable. The NA's would be, but they are far under even Mk3 NA's so there's not a point to for us Mk3 guys.
JZ's (minus the N/A) are all Side Feed, while M's are all top feed.

7M-GE (Mk3 NA - 1986.5 - 1992):
86-88 - Top Feed, Low Impedance (Yellow), 2.7ohm, 295cc, Type: Dual Ball Valve
89-92 - Top Feed, High Impedance (Light-Green), 13.8ohm, 315cc, Type: Dual Ball Valve

7M-GTE (Mk3 T - 1987 - 1992):
87-88 - Top Feed, Low Impedance (Black), 2.9ohm, 430cc, Type: Dual Ball Valve
89-92 - Top Feed, Low Impedance (Black), 2.9ohm, 430cc, Type: Dual Ball Valve

1JZ:
## - ## - Top Feed, High Impedance (Yellow), 13.8 Ohm, 380cc

2JZ-GE (Mk4 N/A, IS300):
Top Feed, High Impedance (Green), 13.8 Ohm, 315cc

2JZ-GTE (Mk4 TT - 1993-1998):
JDM - Side Feed, High Impedance (Grey) , 14.2 Ohm, 430cc
USDM - Side Feed, Low Impedance (Purple) 2.3 Ohm, 520cc

Stealing this from Toysrme:
Fuel Injector Calculator:
Size @ 80%-100% injector duration
315cc = 302hp-378hp
330cc = 316hp-396hp
350cc = 336hp-420hp
370cc = 355hp-444hp
440cc = 422hp-528hp
550cc = 528hp-660hp
720cc = 691hp-864hp
Yes, all stock injectors are Nippon Denso manufactured. However, as they're not all the same feed they all won't fit. So, you'll need to match the feed type, impedance (or use a resistor pack) and flow rate desired.

Not sure what the Camry rail looks like, but the guys running the 5VZ super charger use the green top injectors from the 2JZGE or the light greens from the 7MGTE. My guess would be that is what the other Camry/Solara guys are using.

if those green tops work, post a WTB at the torontosupraclub.com site. I know there have been a few GE's parted out recently.

The 1MZ rails are much like the Mk3's. If the injectors are the ones I think they are,

1MZ-FE (V6, ES300/Camry 93-?):
Top Feed, High Impedance (Teal Colored), 14.7 Ohm, 244cc

I may be wrong however, the Denso numbers don't match :grumbles:

lol

well, thanks for the help guys, but I finally found out which ones most of the supercharged camry/solaras use

they use the 2jzge injectors with high-impedence top feed and they are a direct fit (including wiring harness) on the camry fuel rails

I'm working with trd4life to get me some right now, but if the deal falls through, I'll post up on torontosupra for sure.

thanks for the efforts guys, much appreciated :thumbup:

as well, that's the sort of thing that I keep on hearing, so that's why I get confused about the interchangeability of hte injectors

if a camry or other car can use either/or, then why can't the supras themselves interchange them, etc. etc.

but I digress....especially now that I finally found my answer :p:

I've got a set of 305cc injectors from a 2J NA engine that were going to be used on my 4Runner. If they are the ones you are looking for, LMK and we can probably work something out. They need to be cleaned as they have been out of an engine for years now.

sorry to bump this up, but Im curious to know- I just got some 2jzge oem injectors from a lexus IS300. They look to be teal colored. I got them really cheap to upgrade my stock 1mz solara ones for 5.5 psi of boost. I only need a slight increase from the stock injectors to run safely. Do you guys know if these are the same injectors as the 2jzge supra ones? or are those different? I see above those are listed as green... got me wondering now.

I'm not sure if the IS was the same injector, but I recall the rated power was similar to the 2jz-ge supra, so I would suspect them to be the same part. That said, I've never looked before. You might try one of the lexus forums out.

If they do turn out to be the same, and if I were you, I wouldn't install them as is for any level of boost. Send them for flow testing and cleaning. It's pretty cheap insurance that the injectors won't stick on you and you avoid ventilating a piston top...
