Hey guys...i just got my TRD rear sway bar and had trouble trying to install it because the nuts were too tight on the one thats currently in there...did any of you guys personally install one and if u guys did...any tricks in removing the nuts...btw if i cant install it myself...itll b up for sale

I wouldn't give up so easily. Get someone to help you if you aren't able to do it yourself. How about them Bay Area Corolla guys?

Use a breaker bar, it lengthens the handle of your socket wrench giving you more leverage. Make sure you torque the nuts properly after it's installed. It's not difficult, you just need the correct tools.

yep use a breaker bar. i use it on most things when it wont budge. if youre gonna ask someone there to help, make sure you bring your own tools. usually we dont carry anything to the meets unless its a specified install meet.

Iight thanks for the heads up...i was using a breaker bar, the bar was starting to bend, yet the nut still didnt budge...im gonna try again tmw morning to c if i can do it, otherwise im gonna c if someone at BAC can give me a hand

i used a breaker bar along with a cheater pipe long enough so that i could practically loosen the bolt from the side of the car. just make sure you are turning the bolt in the right direction.

Try using an impact driver or a breaker bar. An impact driver would definitely break it free.

Way to go! I used a 4' piece of pipe but it did the trick after I put all my weight into it! :lol:

lol thats what my friend did....he used my breaker bar and added a nice pipe at the end and was hella pushing it with his legs...it was priceless to watch him get that nut off

If I remember right, it's torqued to 270 ft/lbs.

yeah it was pretty up there, i think it was like 184 but thats still a lot ol

lol yeah that damn nut was a pain in the a$$...i think just getting that nut off was harder than lowering the whole car lol
