I have a 2004 Avalon xls and am changing the downstream O2 sensor(behind the Cat converter) and need to know where does the connector plug in. Is is under the driver seat or the passenger seat or on the side of the console? I have seen various locations listed on the internet and need to be sure where it plugs in before i start ripping out seats and carpets...thanks for your help..

So I replaced the sensor and still have same prob...Check engine light, abs, and vsc....went to auto zone and they tell me the code is p0135, bank 1 sensor1..there are two sensors there and not sure which one could cause the prob...

Oh boy, you'll have fun with that one. Read the thread I just started about code P0135. I'm half way through it.

hey my man, just recently replaced one those my self, and it is hiding on the right hand side of the center console under the carpet. To get to it you'll need to remove the passenger side seat and then part of the center console, to lift the carpet up. That should be you to the connector and harness.
