No. Rubber ones split or dryrot in no time, metal ones point-load the springs and cause them to break. What are you trying to do? increase capacity or ride height?

Look into air-shocks. I don't know if they list any specifically for the wagon but you can download the spec sheets from monroe (gives the dimensions and mounting type for ALL their shocks). Cross referencing in rockauto also leads to 68-69 camaros having the same shock size but offerring a max-air option (airbag on the shock) kit # MA711. They aren't super performance shocks but I've had them on both my trucks and they are the greatest thing invented for a little 1/4 ton pickup.
