Tire pressure light was on , So i take it to the dealer and they say front passenger side tire sensor is not working due to fix a flat that the previous owner used in the tire,,,,so the warranty wont cover it,,290 to change sensor, is there any other option i have? Can i buy one and have it installed at a local tire shop?thx

Remember that although you can get the sensor elsewhere, it still needs to be programed into the ECU by the tire company (if they have the right electronics) or the dealer.

Thanx for the feedback,,,,since the dealer allready knows the faulty tire p sensor was caused by the fix a flat, warranty void,,,110 for the sensor from dealer,,,$20 installed at national tire & battery,$60 to program the sensor at dealer. $190 sounds allot better then $290,especially when the dealer quote of 290 didnt include a new tire!
