Is it possible to wrap the handles with carbon fiber (real) sheet?
Or should I not even try?
Is c/f that flexible? Handles are pretty curved. It's just i'm sick of repainting them. Paint doesnt stick to them well and they look like crap.

why dont you just order a new set in the color that you want? thats what i did when i redid my interior... got black ones now.

but yeah, you probably wouldnt be able to wrap those in carbon, and if you did it would probably not look good...

Oh did you? Where did you order them from? I couldn't find them in black on ebay, and I need the plate that the handles mount into as well. I tried to paint it too, it's all messed up.
Got a linky or somethin'?

hmmmmi painted mine with krylon fusion and they came out pretty well

^so did I, with the same paint. When they dried, paint looks uneven. Basically, it didn't come out professionaly looking. So I'm looking for black handles online, as UfoZ8myCow, advised.
I thought Camry gen3 never had black trim package, that he found those handles on eBay...

no i didnt rush really, i took my time (altough I am impatient lol), but it just doesn't look natural. First it started to crack, then peel, I had horrible experience with them. I'd be happy to buy new already black pair. lol

if u want cf, there is some stuff, i saw it at a import shop

they sell u the fiber and a resin to harden it

^yeah. carbon fiber comes literally as fiber, much like a woven fabric. it's expensive, though, for quality stuff. you pretty much put down resin and then lay the fiber on, and then put however many layers you want with resin for each laye. you could do it yourself, but i don't think it would be worth it. i think it's pretty hard to get it to look right if you're doing it yourself. i think it'd be cool if you could, though.

CamryMax:that's strange mine are perfect. they haven't chipped or cracked yet are you sure you used "krylon FUSION" paint? it is made specifically for plastic.

also along with good prep

there is a spray that helps paint bond to plastic, its called bull guard i believe i have it , i got it at aid auto

havent tried it yet though

^he probably didnt prep it properly if its cracking and peeling...

No that's the thing, I did prep it. I sand it down and stuff.
The weird thing is that the handles had little cracks on them, I couldn't sand them down properly because I would've damaged the handle by sand paper scretches.. so I don't know.. I'm up for black handles, I'm through with painting

They were suuuper hard to find. It took like 3 months of constant searching on eBay before I finally found someone that could get them. They cost like $19 shipped for both of them... Good thing Im a coupe and I only need 2! :whatwhat:
