Or, do you have a beater you prefer to put miles on, so you can save your new Tacoma?
My father-in-law recently retired from being an elementary school principal. But before this, he had quite a long commute each morning and evening. So, though he always owned a new car or mini van, he would always go find a used car for about $2,000. Then he'd bring it home, fix the brakes or some other minor thing, then drive the beater for about a year, putting miles on this instead of his new Toyota mini van, or whatever.
After a year, he'd turn around and sell the beater for what he paid for it; sometimes a bit more. Then he'd buy another beater and do the same thing.
Any of you do this? Or is your Tacoma the beater for your Ferrari?
